Kennt ihr noch diese Falt-Bilderbücher, die sich 3-Dimensional aufbauen sobalt man eine Seite aufschlägt? Manchmal gab es dort auch Papierstreifen zum ziehen, damit sich etwas bewegt. Genau dieses Grundprinzip haben sich einige Studenten der Vancouver Film School als Vorbild genommen und daraus ein bestechenden Jump and Run Platformer gezaubert. Ziel eines Levels ist es soviele Münzen wie möglich einzusammeln, den Schlüssel zu finden und dann über den Ausgang auf die nächste Seite eines Buches zu gelangen. Dabei ist der Kick des Spieles, daß sich Seiten bewegen lassen und es so möglich wird vorher unerreichbare Stellen eines Levels zu erreichen. Was einfach anfängt wird zunehmend kniffliger, denn mit dem Prinzip der Seiten, lässt sich z.B. Wasser an verschiedene Stellen befördern, was dazu führt, daß neue Bäume wachsen, die als Platform dienen um ein Level beenden zu können.
Alles in allem ist Ocus Pocus sehr hübsch umgesetzt, die Spielidee passt zur Grafik und der Sound ist auch nicht zu verachten.
